Christian Humanists and Rationalists - Integrating Skepticism with Theology (CHR-IST) is an international, ecumenical nonprofit organization, founded in 2001 by Nathan Braun, former Presidential Scholar at Augustana University College (Camrose, Alberta, Canada). More about Nathan Braun.

  
Our Four Principles

  1. We aim to EDUCATE Christians about secular humanists and secular humanists about Christians.
  2. We desire to INVESTIGATE the truth-claims of both Christians and secular humanists.
  3. We wish to help ERADICATE unnecessary and frivolous antagonism and hostility between the two groups.
  4. We hope to INTEGRATE the common core principles of both Christianity and secular humanism to establish a coherent worldview that respects the unique and important contributions of both philosophies.
